Thank you for joining us for the opening of our exhibit all about bees and beekeeping. Learn about different types of bees, see some real hives (no live bees), a honey extractor, and more! Thank you to the beekeepers and experts who loaned items and helped Alecia Thomas research this exhibit!

CHSM Annual Fundraiser - A Day on the Ranch
June 20, 2025
Thank you for joining us at Blackberry Farm for our 2025 Fundraiser! We heard John Ivancovich speak about the valley’s agricultural past, which brought about many fond reminiscences. After enjoying barbecue food catered by the Cupertino Hotel and some groovy tunes performed live by Johnny Reason, we had a riveting live auction with several unusual and rare items. Thank you to our energetic auctioneer, Josh Selo!

Cupertino-Toyokawa Cherry Blossom Festival
April 26-27, 2025
Thank you fo joining us for the 41st annual Cherry Blossom Festival, with many indoor and outdoor attractions celebrating Japanese culture and the spring season! This event is organized by Cupertino-Toyokawa Sister Cities. The event featured:
- booths with jewelry, clothing, home decor, and Japanese gifts of arts and crafts vendors
- ikebana, swords, bonsai, suiseki, and koi exhibits
- performances of taiko drums, dancing, martial arts, and musical groups
- and cultural demonstrations of a tea ceremony, origami, calligraphy, and soroban
The Cupertino Historical Museum presented a special two-day exhibit of three kimono garment styles, as well as a gallery of stories of Japanese-American families in Cupertino.

The Cupertino Historical Society Annual Membership Meeting was held on May 14th .
A slate of officers for 2025-26 was elected.

At the conclusion of the Membership Meeting, author Debra Gomes Kordel gave a talk on her book
titled “Into the Moonbroch” which is a historical novel
about the journey of Azorean Portuguese immigrants’ experiences in coming to the Santa Clara Valley.
Baer Blacksmith Demonstration

Blacksmith demonstration held at Charlie Baer’s blacksmith shop at McClellan Ranch. As part of a long term loan and partnership with the park, the restored Baer Blacksmith Shop at McClellan Ranch has most of the museum's collection of blacksmithing artifacts.

Exhibit Opening: Gadgets Galore! Transforming the American Household

Gadgets Galore! a collaboration between Exhibit Envoy and the Cupertino Historical Society & Museum will be open to the public from February 7th to March 21st.
The exhibit tells the story of 20th and 21st century home life - from chores to personal care to entertainment - through the evolution of household tools, machines, and gadgets.
Exhibit researched and curated by Alecia Thomas.
