Our group was given a tour by Kym Teppo, Executive Director of Friends of Huddart and Wunderlich Park.
She told us about the history of the land and showed us around several buildings on the estate.

This building was previously used as a Model T Garage.

The Chinese were employed to build stone walls on the estate.
These walls, seen lining the paths just behind the chain fence, were built without the use of mortar.
The stone walls are held together by the interlocking of carefully cut and placed stones.

History Talk by John Ralston

Thank you for joining us at the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce for a talk by historian John C. Ralston about Fremont and Cora Older and the Preparedness Day Parade bombing of 1916.
Mr. Ralston is the author of the book “Fremont Older and the 1916 San Francisco Bombing – A Tireless Crusade for Justice”.
This book was a key resource for collection manager Alecia Thomas when curating our Fremont and Cora Older exhibit and writing the accompanying historical article.
